Meet Me Halfway

With 0.138 KD in my bank account, I didn't have much to do today.
I didn't want to stay in the house and do nothing. Before leaving, I asked my sister for a book to read, thinking I'd go to starbucks and sit and read there. So I took the book, put on a pair of jeans, kept the sweater I was already wearing, wore a jacket on top of it, and grabbed a scarf, my bag and I was out the door.
Mainly, I left the house at 6 pm to be available to my friend who was supposed to see me around then. But typical him, he didn't call.
I went to starbucks mishrif, thinking that it would be empty. WRONG! I walked in, saw all these people sitting around, the only available seats are on the wooden chairs. I turned around and left. I was thinking, 'a place that's secluded and requires no dough'. I was on the street with the jam3iya on my right and the park up ahead. So I thought, 'hey, why not sit in the parking, switch off the car, open a window and read?', so that's what I did. When I got there, empty. A few parked cars here and there, but no other movement except the McDonald's commotion, but I had parked at the other end. I open the book and read a few pages. I notice that cars are coming in in couples. And the ones that aren't are the ones parking too close to the other cars. So I look up from the book, and turn around. I see a girl next to a Volvo talking to a guy in a Mercedes who has his door open and it seems like she's yelling and trying to grab his phone. I see an obese girl with her neon random accessories walking with a tiny shrimp-like boy in a dishdasha. I see a girl and a guy sitting in a car together. I see an Infiniti's break lights suddenly come on, parked next to a small Ford, but no other movement.
I turn back to the girl yelling at the guy. I open the back seat door so I can hear the conversation, since the book wasn't entertaining me so much as a lover's quarrel would. I hear bits and peices of the conversation, something about him talking to other girls and her demanding him to erase their numbers. Her going on and on about his "loyalty" (her word) to her, how can she trust him and devoted to him while he's talking to all these other girls? HOW COULD HE DO THIS TO HER WHEN THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE IN A SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP. It got boring and repetitive. The guy is SO obviously a sleezebag who really doesn't CARE about her. It's SO OBVIOUS I just wanted to SHAKE her and be like HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Your "boyfriend"? The one in the green vest and nothing under with red trackpants?????? HIS A DOUCHEBAG WHO DOESN'T CARE HE JUST WANTS TO GET SOME AND YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY NOT DOING ANYTHING FOR HIM!
It ended up with her getting in his car for an hour, then running out and speeding off into the night. I don't know much else, and I lost interest. The thing that made me laugh, though, was the fat chick with her 3gaidi boyfriend who were temishying in the parking lot, noticing my open door (but not me) and saying "umbeeeh el bab maftoo7" hahahahhaa my face was right there and she couldn't even NOTICE!
I think I have discovered a new career choice, private investigator.
Overall, it was pretty peaceful. I stayed for about two hours and a half. I read a lot. I haven't read in a while, so it was good. =D

Unprofessional, Unacceptable

This post is dedicated to ranting about customer service to Kuwaitis. No, not in Kuwait, NO! To the ignorant children who think they can make websites and sell things and not commit to them.

So get this, I placed an order on www.kuwait-mall.com, ever heard of it? It sucks ass. I ordered on the 15 of November, imagine! The bill was totaled to 400 KD. To this day, I have not heard from them, nor have they attempted to contact me about the order. The "phone" has been off since the second week after I placed my order, the week I was supposed to recieve it. The nerve.

I was talking to a few of my colleagues and they suggested that I go to the police station and file a report, give them the number, the website, the emails, the reciept and all of it. So after more than a month of waiting, I think I've given the bitch plenty of time to contact me.

La o ba3ad, el wa6ya matrid 3lay bs matadri eni a3arf that she responded to my friends email TWO MINUTES after she sent it. The nerve. =)

Invisible

It's been a few months since I last posted on my former blog "WagtElGhroub". I've recently deleted it, because I realized that it needed to be gone! I needed to start over. What other way is there to start over than starting a new page. Literally.
So to everyone I say hello. If you know me already, then I don't really need to tell you what I usually write about. For newcomers, I welcome you to reading absolutely nothing, and everything.

Let me start by clearing the air. For whoever remembers Mr. O, forget him :D He's married now.

I'm currently in my 3rd semester of university. I'm not loving it, but I'm not hating it either. I'm actually enjoying it. I'm shocked to say that I like my major... When I went to all of this, I didn't even know what my major is! Anyway, that's boring. No one wants to hear about that.

The weather is getting to me. I'm not a fan of winter. It's too cold, I feel like I can't do anything. I just want to stay home all the time and sleep. I noticed in winter I honestly believe, like my body believes, that 12 hours of sleep isn't enough. It's sad. It makes me late to classes. It's not good for my health. :c

So my mamam got me the Dexter book, the one the show is based on. Since I love the show so much, I think the book will be extremely delightful. Also, I haven't read a decent book since the Harry Potter book. Yeah, I said it! I have no shame in being a HP fan! Hmph.

Speaking of fictional/unrealistic stories. This whole Twilight craze and all that has come of it. Ok, so when I was younger, let's say 7 years ago. I went through this vampire phase. I still have the books, too. It did not include Twilight. I didn't even know what Twilight was until the movie came out. Ok, that's a lie. Until a few months before the movie came out. All I'm saying is, since Twilight, everyone has been going crazy over vampires. Really? I mean, I really thought the books I read were way better in comparison. The only vampire books I read were by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. Very good writer! I've read most of her books. I haven't read the Twilight books, but I have a feeling these are way better.

Even though I'm not a huge fan of Twilight, especially the first movie, I went to see the second movie, New Moon. In all honesty I have to say that it was awesome! Especially the topless guys running around. It was so much better than the first movie. SO much!

Anyway, back to Dex. I'm gonna go read for a while now, since I don't have much else to do in the next two hours. So, until next time...
